Fleet Connect, LLC ("Fleet Connect," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (this "Policy").
This Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use our websites, pages, features, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), including:
- information collected on the Platform;
- information collected in emails and other electronic messages between you and Fleet Connect; and
- information collected through your browser or device when you use the Platform.
This Policy applies to users in the United States. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Platform. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here.
1) What Fleet Connect Does
Fleet Connect provides:
- Public-data carrier lookups and summaries (primarily from FMCSA public data);
- One-time report purchases;
- Lead generation and filtering tools; and
- Monitoring/tracking tools, including the ability to save carriers and enter notes.
Derived analytics notice: The Platform may also display computed or recalculated metrics, including CSA-related measures such as BASICs and ISS-style scores (or similar risk indicators), which are generated by Fleet Connect from publicly available and/or third-party data and may differ from FMCSA or other systems.
FMCSA notice: Fleet Connect summarizes publicly available data. FMCSA and other original sources remain the source of record. Users should independently verify information before making business, safety, hiring, underwriting, compliance, or contracting decisions.
2) Key Definitions
“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual or household (such as name, email address, account identifiers, and IP address).
“Carrier / Business Data” means information about motor carriers and related businesses derived from public sources (including FMCSA public data) and displayed through the Platform, such as company identity, registration status, operating authority, and safety and compliance history.
“Derived Analytics” means metrics, scores, ratings, summaries, risk indicators, or similar outputs calculated or generated by Fleet Connect based on Carrier / Business Data and/or other data sources, including risk and fraud indicators described in Section 4.
“User Content” means information you submit to the Platform, such as saved carriers, monitoring lists, tags, and notes.
“Account Owner” and “Authorized User” have the meanings given in our Terms. In general, an “Account Owner” is the individual who registers a Business/Organization Account, and an “Authorized User” is an individual, other than the Account Owner, granted access to that account.
3) Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information collected automatically, and (c) information from public sources.
A. Information you provide
- Account Information: name, email address, password, company name (if provided), and other profile fields you choose to add.
- Purchases & Billing: purchase history, subscription status (if applicable), billing address, and transaction metadata. Payment card information is processed by our third-party payment processor and is not stored by Fleet Connect, except for limited details the processor may provide to us (e.g., card brand, last 4 digits, expiration month/year).
- User Content: information you submit to the Platform (saved carriers, monitoring lists, tags, notes, alert settings, and similar features).
- Support Communications: information you provide when you contact support (e.g., emails, forms, feedback).
For Business/Organization Accounts, Account Information may include the name, email address, and login credentials of the Account Owner and of each Authorized User. If you register or invite an Authorized User on your Business/Organization Account, you represent that you have the authority to provide us that individual’s information and that you will inform them their information will be processed in accordance with this Policy.
B. Information collected automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
- Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, searches performed, actions taken, timestamps, and referring/exit pages.
- Approximate Location: general location derived from IP address (e.g., city/state level), used for security and fraud prevention.
- Log & Security Data: diagnostic and error logs and security events to maintain Platform stability and protect against abuse.
We do not use session replay tools (tools that record on-page user interactions like mouse movements/scrolls and recreate sessions).
C. Information from public sources
- FMCSA and other public sources: We display Carrier / Business Data drawn primarily from FMCSA public data and related publicly available information.
- Derived Analytics: We may generate Derived Analytics (including recalculated BASICs/ISS-style metrics or other risk indicators) using Carrier / Business Data and/or other sources.
4) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Platform (create accounts, authenticate users, provide access to purchased reports, enable lead filtering, enable monitoring and notes).
- Process transactions (one-time report purchases, subscriptions if applicable, receipts, refunds and support as applicable).
- Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the Platform (performance, reliability, feature improvements, debugging).
- Protect security and integrity (fraud detection, abuse prevention, auditing, enforcing our Terms, including limiting each login to one active session at a time to enforce account and seat limits).
- Communicate with you (service notices, security alerts, receipts, and support responses; marketing emails only where permitted and with opt-out available).
- Comply with legal obligations (tax/accounting, responding to lawful requests, enforcing agreements).
- Generate analytics and insights (including Derived Analytics such as scores, summaries, and risk indicators computed from Carrier / Business Data).
Sensitive data: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation (GPS), biometric identifiers, or health information through the Platform. Please do not submit sensitive personal information in notes or support messages.
5) How We Share Information
We may share information as follows:
A. Service providers
We share information with vendors that help us operate the Platform (for example, hosting providers, payment processors, email/communication providers, security providers, and customer support tools). Vendors are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to Fleet Connect.
B. Legal, safety, and compliance
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, or lawful request;
- protect the rights, safety, or security of Fleet Connect, our users, or others; or
- investigate, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
C. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
D. With your direction
We may share information when you instruct us to do so (for example, exporting or sharing reports or enabling integrations you choose to use).
E. Aggregated or de-identified data
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
F. Within your Business/Organization Account
If you are an Authorized User on a Business/Organization Account, the Account Owner can view your name, email address, and Authorized User status as part of managing the account. Your individually saved carriers, monitoring lists, and notes (User Content) are not visible to the Account Owner or other Authorized Users on the same account.
No sale of Personal Information: We do not sell your Personal Information.
No targeted advertising sharing: We do not share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising (“targeted advertising”) as that term is defined under certain U.S. state privacy laws.
6) Your Choices and U.S. Privacy Rights
A. Marketing emails
If you receive promotional emails from us, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link. Service emails (e.g., receipts, account alerts, security notices) are not promotional.
B. State privacy rights

- confirmation of whether we process your Personal Information;
- access to certain Personal Information;
- deletion of certain Personal Information;
- correction of inaccurate Personal Information;

To submit a request, email privacy@fleetconnect.io with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, where permitted by law. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with “Appeal” in the subject line.
If you are an Authorized User on a Business/Organization Account, you may submit a privacy request regarding your own Personal Information independently of the Account Owner.
